Lucy D'Aguilar's Unique Practice
My approach to fitness after having a baby is a slow and steady recovery. Tailoring the movements to meet the needs of each client. I use prescreening tools to find out the history of the client before the classes I teach. Having experience fitness with prolapse after all three of my babies I offer a deeper understanding of the challenges that each woman has to overcome to feel ok in her body again.
Areas of Focus and Specialization
Pelvic organ prolapse recovery/diastasis recti are my passion when it comes to reintroducing exercise after baby.
About Lucy D'Aguilar
Hello, I’m Lucy, A Pre & Postpartum Exercise Specialist, BA (hons) Sports Development with Physical Activity, pelvic health physiotherapy assistant and Mom of 3 girls.
After my first baby, I was back in the gym within weeks. Throwing around weights, doing pull ups, crunches and core work galore. Thinking this was the right thing to do to 'get my body back'
It took me months to realize something wasn't right. I was peeing my pants, I felt pressure in my vagina and my body just didn't quite feel right. Even as a personal trainer. This was the beginning of my journey to where I am now. I spent years taking additional courses and education to learn all I could learn about how to help the postpartum body.
So here I am NOW feeling the best I could after birthing three beautiful babies and living with prolapse (rectocele). I’m here to help you feel the best you can feel after birthing babies.
