Sylvain Broucke's Unique Practice
As a massage therapist who is finishing his osteopathic study, I have a strong emphasis on assessment of joints, alignment and nervous system. I empower my clients with self-care such as self-massage, breathing mechanic exercises and osteopathic vertebral decompression exercises (ELDOA).
Areas of Focus and Specialization
I have a special interest in dealing with breathing mechanic issues, chronic back pain and TMJ related disorders. I also have a particular interest in treating mechanical neurological disorders like thoracic outlet syndrome, radiculopathies, and other nerve entrapments.
About Sylvain Broucke
After working as an IT engineer, I branched off into the world of manual therapy by studying Thai Massage for many years, giving me a holistic Eastern approach to therapy. I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage Therapy and Hydrotherapy in 2019. Fascinated by Osteopathic Manual Therapy, I chose to study at the Ontario Academy of Progressive Osteopathy in Toronto because it has a system-based approach to the body with a strong emphasis on anatomy and functional neurology. Today, I practice in a multi-disciplinary clinic downtown as a Massage Therapist and I incorporate osteopathic tools within the scope of practice of Massage Therapy.
