Dr. Eleveld's Unique Practice
In my practice, I focus on evidence based complimentary care which is not always the norm for Naturopathic Doctors. I know that utilizing the best and most current research is going to help my patients achieve the best results. I am a lifelong learner and am always updating my skills and expertise.
Areas of Focus and Specialization
I have a special interest in helping women at mid-life address the health challenges that come at this time. As women, our bodies go through a multitude of changes during this period of our lives and many women are left on their own and in the dark about what this means for their health. I have been working with this population for 10 years and am passionate about helping women transition through menopause with ease. I also guide my patients in identifying their long term health goals and tackle them preventatively to help ensure their quality of life for decades to come.
About Dr. Eleveld
Dr. Eleveld began her practice and opened Natural Choice Medical Clinic in Guelph in 2013. Her clinic has grown from a 2 person operation, to a multi-modality wellness clinic with a team of 21. She prides herself on connecting incredibly skilled clinicians with patients who need their help. Over the years, her practice has also evolved to hone in on working exclusively with women at midlife. She is passionate about women having amazing quality of life through their whole life and especially through the menopause transition. During her ten years of working with patients, she has witnessed many women in perimenopause or menopause who were unaware that they did not have to live with symptoms that can come on at mid-life, such as hot flashes, insomnia, heavy periods, vaginal dryness, joint pain, mood swings, fluid retention, anxiety and fatigue.
Dr. Eleveld is a registered member with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario and has been qualified by the College for the additional standards of practice of therapeutic prescribing and intravenous infusion therapy. She is also a participating member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
Prior to her four year naturopathic training at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, she graduated with distinction from Queen’s University with an Honours Bachelor of Computing, with a subject of specialization in biomedical computing. She then went on to work as a research assistant at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in the neuroradiology department. Cutting edge medical research has always been an essential component of her practice, and she always seeks to expand her knowledge through continuing education. She frequently attends courses and conferences on hormonal health delivered by the OAND, CAND, Professional Compounding Centers of America, Evidence Based Nutrition, Association for the Advancement of Restorative Medicine, Collaborative Education, The Confident Clinician and the LP3 Network.
