Stewart Hope's Unique Practice
If there is a restriction in a client's body, the surrounding fascia and tissue are pulled towards that restriction. Manual Osteopaths, use this skill we call "listening" to guide our hands to very specific areas of the body. While I develop a clinical picture as I assess a client, it is these "listening" palpation skills that tells me where to go and in what order to go in. I also use a similar skill to feel where sections of the body are being pulled or influenced to move to, without having to move the body. This is helpful in clients with limited mobility or are in too much pain to move.
Areas of Focus and Specialization
I have a special interest in two areas. On is visceral manipulation where I can treat many dysfunctional cranial/sacral patterns including stuck vertebrae without directly treating them. My other interest is combining treatment of 2 or more restrictions with or around nerves to alleviate tension, improve visceral organ motility and more.
About Stewart Hope
I am a Certified Manual Osteopath who graduated in 2014 from the Southern Ontario College of Osteopathy. I have a wide spectrum of experience with natural therapies. It wasn’t until I studied Osteopathy that I found a healing modality that matched the manner in which I wanted to serve. My skill set includes myofascial release, cranial/sacral osteopathy, ligament balancing/re-stretching, visceral manipulation, skeletal manipulation and more. More recently I have joined the clinic, Natural Choice Medical Clinic, where I have many great colleagues to refer to for other skill sets.
