About Alana Gulka's Unique Practice
We’re a unique family-owned small business that helps everyone from those looking to be just a little more active up to high-level athletes.
As a clinic and training center, we can help your recovery from new or ongoing injuries, and reintroduce you to activity and exercise safely after injury or prolonged periods of inactivity. We have several Athletic Therapists on staff, some of whom have dual designations, ready to help you. This combo of skills and specialties combined with collaboration and a biopsychosocial approach to care can be truly something amazing.
Once you are in our ecosystem, we can help determine which of our services could help you the best to reach your goals, quickly.
Areas of Focus and Specialization
My main experience is with younger athletes (15-22) participating in sport, or in adults (30+) who previously did participate in sport but now for whatever reason feel broken and incapable (usually due to previous injury that was not rehabbed completely).
About Alana Gulka
Alana started Guelph Performance in 2015, working as a solo-practitioner within a gym facility. She chose to open her own practice so she could build a clinic that matched her unique philosophy of patient care. Over the last 9 years, she has grown Guelph Performance to be an ecosystem where she can foster a client-centred goal-oriented ecosystem, using not only her own skills but those of her incredible staff to help people perform better whether that be in sports, play, work, or just life in general!
Alana attended the University of Western Ontario, where she was a member of the Varsity Rowing team, and earned her Bachelor of Medical science. During her time there, she sustained an injury and was treated by the Athletic Therapists there, sparking her to continue her education at Sheridan, earning a BAHSc in Athletic Therapy, followed by a Diploma in Massage Therapy at OCHT.
